YMCA run several great older adult fitness programs through our PrYme Movers, Strength For Life & Group Fitness classes.
Strength, flexibility and balance training can greatly assist with variety of health issues, help to reduce weight and keep your mind active.
Social connections are also a great benefit of attending our group fitness classes. Participants socialise before and after class and offer each other encouragement in a fun and motivating environment.

You’re never too old to exercise. Our staff can tailor a gym program to suit everyone. Dodgy knees and backs are a speciality! We use our skills to help keep you active and keep pains away, leaving you free to enjoy life to the full.
If group exercise is more your style our classes combine two important elements for you to get the most out of exercise - fun & fitness. You would never think exercise could be so much fun!
Strength For Life
Are you over 50 and find you're not as strong as you used to be? Strength for Life is a registered COTA program providing over 50's an opportunity to participate in supervised, low cost strength training.
Strength training has been shown to improve muscular strength, mobility and balance in people of all ages and can alleviate the effects of some chronic conditions such as Arthritis and Type 2 Diabetes.
Monday to Friday 11.00am – 12.00pm.
