Getting Started

1.Download the New App
Look for the white YMCA SA icon with a red "NEW" banner in your app store.

2.Log In
Use the same email and password as your Client Portal account. If you've forgotten your password, use the reset option in the app.

3. Start Using Your New Features
Once logged in, you'll have instant access to all the new functionality.

What’s New?

The new YMCA SA App provides increased customer convenience, with the big highlights being:

  • QR Code Check-ins: Skip the queue and scan straight in! Your unique QR code works for gym entry, children's swimming lessons, and visits to other YMCA centres.
  • Enhanced Group Fitness: Book classes with ease, join waitlists that automatically promote you when spots open, see real-time availability, and book family members into the same class.
  • Self-Service Convenience: Purchase visit passes and PT packages, check remaining credits, freeze your membership, and manage family member accounts - all without visiting reception.
  • Consultation and PT bookings: For the first time, book complimentary member services directly including fitness consultations, body scans, trainer check-ins, youth orientations, and Strength for Life assessments.

For Swimming Lesson Families

The new app's QR code feature makes check-ins simple - no more forgotten membership cards! Simply show your QR code at our Member Scan Stations to check your children in for lessons.

Note: We are working with our app developer to bring further swimming lesson app functionality. For now, continue managing swimming lessons, including marking non-attendance and booking make up lessons, through Client Portal - there's a quick link tile on the homepage of the new app.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I need a new app?

We've integrated everything into one system, making it easier to manage your membership and giving you more control over your experience.

Can I still use my membership card?

Yes, but the QR code is faster and more convenient.

When exactly should I switch apps?

Download the new app now. From Monday 7 July, use it to book any classes.

What if I only use the Centre for swimming lessons?

The app is great for QR code check-ins. Full swimming lesson features are coming soon. Continue managing lessons through Client Portal (accessible via the app).

Can visit pass holders use the QR code?

Not at this time - visit pass holders should continue to use the physical visit pass card provided. Visit pass holders can scan in at the Scan Stations.
